The Westport Sunrise Rotary provides financial assistance to local and international social service organizations that are aligned with our vision and focus.  We also collaborate in community projects with Rotary partners in countries such as Brazil, Egypt, Guatemala, Haiti, India and Zimbabwe. Inaugural Sunrise Rotary 4-Way-Test Poster-Design Contest








Six of the contestants in a teen poster design contest, co-sponsored by Westport Sunrise Rotary and Westport Public Library, appeared on stage today in a ceremony at the library announcing the winners.  The contest was to create a poster involving the Rotary’s “4-Way Test” of ethical behavior. All the posters created will remain on display at the library through June 30. Pictured (l-r) are: Timothy Yang, 12th grade, first place; Erkina Sartbaeva, ninth grade; Nate Rosen, ninth grade; Kristyn Palumbo, 12th grade;  Madeline Mafilios, 12th grade,  second place, and Callie Kole, 10th grade. 3,000 yellow ducks "raced" for $10,000 in prizes!
Finishing first and collecting a $5,000 Visa gift card was Scott Schaake of Southbury, second was Nick Clarke of Westport, taking a $1,000 gift card; and third was Westporter Andy Boas, earning a $500 gift card.

The top three decorated duck winners were retailers Melissa & Doug, Vintage Virtuosa and Ranney Michaels.
